27 Dec (NucNet): The conical roofs of the reinforced concrete shield buildings for the Sanmen-1 and Haiyang-1 AP1000 reactor units in China have been set in place, Westinghouse said.
In a statement on 23 December Westinghouse, a group company of Toshiba Corporation, said the shield building roof for Sanmen-1 was set in place on 23 November followed by Haiyang-1 on 15 December.
Westinghouse is providing four AP1000 pressurised water reactors in China: two at Sanmen in Zhejiang province and two at Haiyang in Shandong province.
