Bertholt Leeftink, a former official in the Dutch government, has been appointed chief executive officer of both NRG and Pallas in the Netherlands.
The two organisations, which are working to build a new research reactor at NRG’s site at Petten, also announced that former finance minister Gerrit Zalm has been appointed president of both supervisory boards.
NRG said in a statement that executive board members and supervisory board members will sit on the boards of both companies.
