Delays and cost overruns for EPR construction projects in France, Finland, and the UK are “unacceptable” failings on the part of French state-controlled utility EDF, according to French economy minister Bruno Le Maire.Mr Le Maire told local media on Sunday that a “totally independent” audit of the French nuclear industry will be conducted by 31 October 2019.He said the nuclear industry cannot be “a state in the state” and warned of “consequences on all levels” within EDF.
