The Hungarian government is expecting the Paks nuclear power station expansion project to enter its “implementation” stage in September 2022, as all pending issues had been clarified with the Russian supplier.

Hungarian foreign minister Peter Szijjarto, who met today with the head of Russian state-owned nuclear corporation Rosatom in Istanbul, said the Hungarian regulator has to issue four other important licences before construction can begin for Paks 2-1.
