Move comes as Budapest says it will promote use of nuclear energy during its European Council presidency
Hungary has agreed to the European Union’s latest package of sanctions against Russia, which provides for restrictions on supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG), in exchange for assurances that no current or future measures will threaten the Paks 2 nuclear power station, which Russian state-owned nuclear corporation Rosatom is building, the Hungarian service of Radio Liberty said.
