Minister points to ‘failure for the entire French nuclear industry’
The French government has given EDF one month to deliver a plan to fix problems at the state-backed group’s Flamanville-3 EPR project in Normandy. The move followed publication on Monday of an official report criticising EDF for lacking a “culture of quality”, as reflected in delays and cost overruns at the plant. The report was presented to EDF's largest shareholder, the French government, which called for an urgent “plan of action” to improve standards at the company and get the plant online.
