New cabinet seems to be speeding up pace of negotiations, say media reports
The Polish government is hoping to conclude talks on the financing of the country’s first commercial nuclear power plant in a few months, government commissioner for strategic energy infrastructure, Piotr Naimski, said at the Polish-US Nuclear Industry Forum in Warsaw on Monday.The Polish government is planning to set up a special-purpose company in which it will hold a 51% stake, with the remaining 49% being held by a foreign partner, Mr Naimski said. The conclusion of the talks on the financing of the project “is a matter of a few months”, he said.
