Control room online as project nears commissioning stage, says owner
The main control room at the Vogtle-3 nuclear unit under construction in Georgia has become operational and plant systems testing has begun, according to Georgia Power, one of the project’s owners.Bringing the control room online is “another major step” as the project moves from construction to commissioning, said Vogtle construction executive vice-president Glen Chick.
