US nuclear company GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) has said the first BWRX-300 small modular reactor for a Polish customer is scheduled to become operational in 2029.
GEH vice-president David Sledzik said in an interview with the Polish Press Agency (PAP), that the company has begun the licensing process for the BWRX-300 plant in Canada and once that is completed it will apply for a construction licence.
