Pilot use is part of Moscow’s efforts to close nuclear fuel cycle
Russia has entered the third 18-month cycle of pilot commercial operation for its novel uranium-plutonium Remix fuel at Unit 1 of the Balakovo nuclear power station, state-owned nuclear corporation Rosatom said.
