Country’s fifth nuclear power unit takes a step towards commercial operation
Extended hydraulic functional tests have been completed at the Mochovce-3 nuclear power plant under construction in Slovakia, paving the way for fuel loading, utility and nuclear operator Slovenské Elektrárne said.The company said the so-called hot testing had been extended to rectify issues that came to light during initial hot testing.The extended tests included inspection of the reactor and other primary circuit components. The reactor itself was dismantled and reassembled so its internal structures could be inspected.
