Europe should speed up investments to guarantee energy security because of the war in Ukraine with nuclear’s inclusion in the bloc’s sustainable finance taxonomy a crucial step, the energy ministers from 10 countries said in a letter* published in Polish newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

The ministers said the fight against climate change should be part of Europe’s “strategic and energy autonomy” and argue that the inclusion of nuclear in the taxonomy is essential if the bloc is to increase its energy security.
