US-based Entergy Corporation announced it has completed the sale of the Pilgrim nuclear power station in Massachusetts to Holtec International.
Entergy said in a statement that the deal includes the transfer of its subsidiary Entergy Nuclear Operations, which owns and operates Pilgrim, to Holtec Decommissioning International (HDI), a Holtec International subsidiary.
The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved the transfer of Pilgrim’s licence to HDI on 22 August 2019.
