Electricity production has resumed at the Olkiluoto-3 nuclear power plant in Finland with testing to continue until scheduled commercial operation in April, plant owner and operator Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) said.

TVO said electricity production resumed early on Wednesday (15 March) following maintenance and repairs to a valve fault.

“The maintenance of the pressuriser valve stations has now been completed, so the commissioning can be continued,” Marjo Mustonen, TVO’s senior vice-president of electricity production said. “Now, we shall run the final tests before regular electricity production commences.”
