‘Long and tortuous’ process has taken toll on workforce capacity
There are significant opportunities for the US Department of Energy to increase its preparedness for creating a “unified and integrated” programme for the storage, transportation, and disposal of spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste, a report by the Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board says.
