The new reactor could be completed in late 2025
Iran plans to start the construction of a second Russia-supplied nuclear power reactor at its Bushehr nuclear station in next month, unconfirmed reports quoting the country’s Atomic Energy Organisation said.Iran and Russia signed an agreement to build two new units at Bushehr in November 2014. This was followed in June 2019 by the signing of a final contract for construction.Reports said the first new unit could be completed in late 2025 and that construction of the third unit could start in 2021.
