US-based nuclear fuel and services company Centrus Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, American Centrifuge Operating, has signed a $150m (€141m) contract with the US Department of Energy to pioneer the production of high-assay, low-enriched uranium (Haleu) at its facility leased from the DOE in Piketon, Ohio.
