Canada Moves Deep Geological Repository Into Multi-Year Regulatory Process

Canada’s plan for a deep geological repository for used nuclear fuel has moved into a multi-year federal regulatory process after the Nuclear Waste Management Organisation (NWMO) confirmed the selection of the Revell area in northwestern Ontario and said the host communities of Ignace and Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation had demonstrated willingness to proceed.
