24 Jan (NucNet): Bolivian president Evo Morales has announced plans for the country to build its first nuclear reactor, saying the development of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes has become “a strategic priority”.
Speaking to members of the Bolivian Congress, he said that Iran, France and Argentina had volunteered to help with the development of the project.
Mr Morales said as a first step towards new-build Bolivia is to establish a nuclear energy commission.
