Sweden-based advanced reactor manufacturer Blykalla will jointly develop components of its Sealer reactor and control room equipment alongside Swiss technology group ABB under a joint development agreement.

In a statement, Blykalla said the agreement would see the two companies develop key elements of the Sealer prototype reactor and set a framework for joint research and development activities and technical and commercial integration.

In addition, ABB would become Blykalla’s main partner for automation, control systems and control room equipment as the two look to combine reactor technology with experience in electrical systems.
