A South African subsidiary of Quantum Leap Energy has signed a pre-implementation services contract with the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) aimed at advancing plans for a high-assay low-enriched uranium enrichment (Haleu) facility at the Pelindaba nuclear research site.

Quantum Leap Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based ASP Isotopes, said the agreement covers siting, design, construction, commissioning and operation support for a proposed enrichment plant at Necsa’s facilities west of Pretoria.
