With 5 Plants Facing Closure, 2021 Could Be Record Year, Warns EIA
Unit 3 at Indian Point is one of five plants that is scheduled for closure.
According to the US Energy Information Administration’s latest inventory of electric generators, 9.1 GW of electric generating capacity is scheduled to retire in 2021 with five nuclear plants on the shutdown list.
