The World Nuclear Transport Conference 2026 will take place on 28-29 October at the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium in Singapore.
Organised by the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI), the conference will bring together senior representatives from government, industry and international organisations involved in the transport of nuclear and radioactive materials. It is the second edition of WNTI’s flagship conference.
Held under the theme “The Bridge Between Policy and Practice”, WNTC 2026 will focus on closer alignment between regulators, policymakers and industry as requirements for nuclear and radioactive material transport continue to evolve.
The two-day programme will cover regional perspectives, safety, security and regulation, nuclear liability, transport of naturally occurring radioactive material, medical isotopes and industrial sources, management of the nuclear legacy and the future of nuclear applications. Sessions will also address transport routes, public perceptions of nuclear risk and emerging requirements for microreactor package certification.
A Women in Nuclear Transport session and WNTI awards are also planned.
Technical visits will take place on 30 October, including visits to Singapore General Hospital and the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Institute at the National University of Singapore.
More than 150 participants and over 20 speakers are expected.
