RAMTrans 2027: Transport, Storage And Disposal Of Radioactive Materials Conference

RAMTrans 2027 will take place on 11-13 May 2027 in London, bringing together specialists involved in the transport, storage and disposal of radioactive and nuclear materials.

Organised by the Nuclear Institute, the conference is held every three years in the UK and provides an international forum for designers, operators, research organisations and regulators working on radioactive material packaging and transport.

The programme will address issues including package engineering, regulation, operational experience, future technologies, climate change and sustainability, and challenges associated with specific radioactive material contents. The organisers are also inviting contributions on the application of artificial intelligence in the sector.

The conference comes as growth in new nuclear technologies, including small modular reactors and fusion, is expected to create additional requirements for nuclear transport, alongside continuing demand from decommissioning and radioactive waste management programmes.

RAMTrans 2027 will begin with a welcome reception on 11 May, followed by two days of conference sessions on 12-13 May. A gala dinner will take place on 12 May.

The event will be held at The Tower Hotel in London.
