#Nucleareurope2026: Powering a Competitive EU, Brussels, Belgium

As Europe works to secure its energy future, nuclear is moving to the centre of the policy debate.

Organised by nucleareurope, this two-day Brussels nuclear conference brings together policymakers, industry leaders and financiers to examine how the EU can achieve energy sovereignty while maintaining security of supply, industrial competitiveness and progress towards its climate goals.

Sessions will cover the EU's energy policy framework to 2040, the electrification of industry and transport, the role of hydrogen and heat, AI's growing demand on power infrastructure, the deployment of small and advanced modular reactors, investment mechanisms, including the next Multiannual Financial Framework, and nuclear medicine applications.

The event opens on 1 June with a high-level plenary session, a fireside chat and a panel on meeting the energy needs of Europe's consumers, including the data centre and transport sectors, followed by a cocktail and networking dinner.

On 2 June, breakout sessions and two further panels address decarbonised energy for European industry and the financing frameworks needed to unlock nuclear investment at scale.

Panels are moderated by Sonja Van Renssen, Chief Strategy Officer at Carbon Pulse.
